GCT Canada statement on harassment and discrimination at terminals

At GCT Canada, we are committed to promoting and maintaining a workplace free of violence, harassment and discrimination. We do not tolerate or condone disrespectful, discriminatory, verbally or physically threatening behaviour from anyone on our terminals and will take necessary action to address any inappropriate situations as per our Workplace Harassement and Violence policy.

GCT Canada is aware of a concerning altercation at GCT Deltaport on August 19 between a Truck Driver and an International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) worker. We are closely reviewing the incident and will work with Union, the BC Maritime Employers Association, and other parties to fully investigate and address this incident.

GCT Canada’s harassment line is available to all truck drivers and guests at a terminal and connects directly with a management supervisor who can immediately assist and support as required.
